The pluses of participating in activities are obvious. Children learn in all areas of development. Physical development is supported through experimenting and moving the body in new ways; listening to a note in music class triggers connections in the brain that will be
used later when solving math problems; learning a new language develops a greater appreciation for diversity.
Additionally, children are given the opportunity to articulate their creativity. Creativity fosters mental growth in children by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, and new ways of thinking and problem solving.
