Our values
The primary concern of Action Daycare is the well-being of your child. We want your child to feel safe, loved, nurtured, and to be confident within themselves. Every educator is passionate about their profession and appreciates the uniqueness of each child. We value the diversity that each child brings to the classroom. Educators collaborate with each other and strive to achieve the best environment for your child. We respect one another and value each others opinions. Love is constantly present at the daycare. Each child is special. Action Daycare…a harmonious, loving and secure environment for all our families.
As educators we also find it imperative that we give the parents opportunities to display their choices. We work in collaboration with parents to generate more options for the children. Working together brings benefits to the child, the parents, as well as the educators. Children whose parents are actively involved with the staff are highly motivated and have a sense of security knowing that their parents trust and believe in their daycare. Action Daycare is always in the process of re-evaluating themselves to improve the quality of the center.
Our educational program focuses on five stages of development, consisting of social and emotional development, cognitive development, language development, and fine and gross motor skills. Each program ensures a complete development of your child.
Operating Hours
Our daycare is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Parents must abide by our schedule at all times. Upon entering the building, please accompany your child up the stairs. The parent is responsible upon arrival and departure of the daycare to dress and undress their child. Each child has a locker assigned to them to hold their personal belongings. Once your child is settled, it is the parent’s responsibility to accompany the child to the reception area. When picking up your child, please ensure that Action Daycare is aware of your departure. Please sign appropriate presence sheet. This is an opportune time where concerns and inquiries about your child may be addressed as well.
For exceptional circumstances when you are unable to pick up your child, we kindly ask you to inform the daycare of the person responsible for your child’s pick-up that day. An authorization form may be signed in the morning. For security reasons this person may be asked to show a piece of identification. Unauthorized individuals are strictly forbidden to enter the building.

Daily Routine
Within the daily routine, children are taught- with the assistance and guidance of their educators- autonomy and independence. Tasks such as feeding and dressing themselves, washing up, and helping out, build confidence and instill a sense of self worth. A stable routine promotes a comfortable environment, all the while fostering proper hygiene habits.
Snack Time
Snacks are offered twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon. During snack time the children are in a calm environment; this gives the educator the opportunity to teach proper table manners, while also encouraging children to eat by themselves or with little assistance. Snack time also allows the children to work together; this encourages participation, and fosters a sense of belonging within the classroom.
Lunch Time
Lunch is served promptly at 11:30 A.M. Lunch time is similar to snack time, children work together to create a pleasant eating environment; children are encouraged to eat on their own, wash their hands and clear their own place. Lunch is served in the child’s classroom.
Nap Time
Nap time is important for children at daycare, as it gives them the opportunity to unwind, and prepares them for activities in the afternoon. Two hours is allotted to nap time. Children are encouraged to rest and relax.
Free play
Free play is imperative to a child’s development. At this time, children can freely express themselves by choosing to play or engage in an activity of their choice. They are given an opportunity to explore their environment with educational materials presented in the classroom. Together they socialize amongst their peers. Children learn how to work with one another and how to share. At this time, educators may also evaluate each child’s progress. Observing a child socialize within a group allows the educator to view their strengths and weaknesses.
Meals and Snacks
Our daycare offers a nutritious, well-balanced diet. A trained professional ensures that meals are not only delicious, but contain foods from the five food groups to promote healthy minds and bodies. Each meal is prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients. You may refer to the menu on display, and note how the chef pays particular attention to creating healthy and fun meals week after week for your child to enjoy.
**Please notify our staff if your child is prohibited from eating certain foods, e.g. allergies/ medical conditions.
**Due to food regulations concerning allergies (nuts, eggs, etc), all food and beverages are prohibited on the premises.
